Demolition is expected to begin on the old Cardinal Stadium soon.
The stadium first opened its gates in 1956 and was home to the Bluegrass Bowl and the Louisville Raiders football team.
The demolition has been expected for a long time. The stadium fell into disrepair when the UofL football team moved out in the late 1990s.
The stands were declared unsafe and closed in 2013. In 2018 funds were approved to tear it down.
A Thursday afternoon event has been postponed, but seats from the stadium will be sold online next week.
The seats will be listed for sale online for $50 a piece starting Monday. Buyers will be able to pickup their seats on Feb. 22 and 23 at Old Cardinal Stadium.
