Unlike Eric Church, who recently received a lot of push-back from his fans after revealing his not-so-favorable thoughts on the NRA, you won't hear Miranda denounce the association. But she does understand and stress the importance of proper handling of firearms.
She tells Time magazine, "My dad was a police officer, so early on I was taught gun safety, what guns were for, how to use them and when not to touch them. I’ve just grown up around them, so it’s my normal. I’m a girl, I travel a lot by myself, and I like to carry to protect myself. I know everybody has an opinion on it and it’s polarizing, but for me it’s just a way of life."
'Ran is a Texan, so it's no surprise she is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
Even Eric Church admits to owning several guns. He just doesn't like the power that the NRA has over the government. If you're from the South, you likely grew up around guns. There's a big difference between responsible gun ownership and reckless gun ownership.
