Carrie Underwood Gives Back To Her Hometown

Carrie Underwood is always looking for ways to give back to her community, and her most recent gift went to her old high school.

On Saturday, the Checotah, Oklahoma native provided new stage curtains for the Checotah High Event Center.

A Checotah High School official commented on the gift, saying, "They look amazing and will give our students the great opportunity to experience a professional stage setting. Thank you, Carrie for supporting Checotah Schools and continuing to help make your hometown one of the best little towns in Oklahoma." (News on 6)

Carrie has done a lot for the tiny town of Checotah. She's built a new playground and animal shelter,  provided school uniforms, equipment,  musical instruments and more.

The mayor of Checotah says Carrie has donated at least half-a-million dollars to the town over the years.

Carrie goes back to her hometown as often as possible.

Checotah's population is a mere 3,225. Talk about a tiny town!
