Kentucky's Carly Pearce Wins Two ACMs; Stapleton Has Album Of The Year

What a year our Kentucky girl Carly Pearce has had. She turned her very public heartbreak into one of her best projects yet - "29" - and she dominated the country charts with Lee Brice and their duet "I Hope You're Happy Now." Wearing her heart on her sleeve paid off in a big way at Sunday night's ACM Awards. Prior to the television broadcast, she and Lee were surprised with the trophy for Musical Event of the Year.

Seeing Carly pick up her second trophy for Single of the Year was one of my favorite moments of the night.

Carly was not the only Kentucky winner of the night. Chris Stapleton went home with Album of the Year for Starting Over following a stunning performance of "Maggie's Song" with Miranda Lambert.
