"Girl came about from me actually wanting to write a song to another girl, that I was sort of having some ,you know, light issues with....some human issues," Morris said. "I realized...I was really talking to myself and that inner critic we all have to listen to and suppress every day. And, I just feel like it was a really cathartic moment for me because it was that self doubt being addressed. And you know, no one's perfect, and everyone's going to be okay is what what I was telling myself."
Thomas Rhett is hard at work on a new album. He’s confirmed that he’s co-writing songs with Nick Jonas and Charlie Puth, but won’t say if those are going to be full-on collaborations.Thomas said he’s wary of teasing any songs that might feature other artists because of the possibility the song may be shelved. He says he’s just enjoying working with friends.
