Bayou Country Superfest Is Back...In Baton Rouge

Bayou Country Superfest, which spent the last two years at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, is headed back to Baton Rouge for its tenth year.

The country music festival is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 & 26, 2019 will be held at LSU Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

2018's Bayou Country Superfest hosted George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, and Midland.

LSU hosted the Bayou Country Superfest beginning in 2010, but due to stadium renovations the Festival relocated to New Orleans.  The 2019 Festival will mark the 10th anniversary of the event that annually presents the biggest names in country music to fans from across North America.   The lineup and ticket information for the 2019 Bayou Country Superfest will be released in the coming weeks.

Quint Davis, Producer/Director of the Superfest, said, “The magic of Bayou Country in Tiger Stadium is back. The 2019 10th anniversary Festival will be special: the biggest superstars in Country will rock our world again. Pack up for the holiday weekend, and let the tailgates begin!”

“I am thrilled to announce Louisiana’s largest country music concert event is confirmed. The 10th Anniversary Bayou Country Superfest 2019 will return to LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge,” said Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, who has supported the event since its inception through the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.  “This premier country music showcase during the 3-day Memorial Day weekend is a tremendous economic engine for our state, bringing in the most talented and popular country music stars to perform to tens of thousands of adoring fans each day.”

“I am excited to welcome Bayou Country Superfest back to Baton Rouge and Tiger Stadium,” said Gov. John Bel Edwards. “Watching the biggest names in country music perform in Tiger Stadium is an unparalleled experience that has become a Louisiana tradition. I look forward to joining fans from around the state and the nation Memorial Day weekend as we enjoy the spectacular performances in store for us at next year’s Bayou Country Superfest.”

“The return of Bayou Country Superfest is fantastic news for Baton Rouge residents as well as our tourism industry and local businesses. I applaud our coalition of partners including LSU, Visit Baton Rouge, and the Louisiana Office of Tourism for working to bring Bayou Country Superfest back home to Baton Rouge,” said Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome.

“We are delighted to see the Bayou Country Superfest return to Baton Rouge, where it all began ten years ago. The hospitality community realized the economic impact that was lost with the event’s departure, but today’s homecoming announcement will bring with it a greater impact, one that will reach visitors and the entire community,” said Paul Arrigo, President & CEO of Visit Baton Rouge.

“We’re excited to bring the Bayou Country Superfest back home to Baton Rouge,” said LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletic Joe Alleva. “This will bring thousands of people to this campus and this community to hear some of the best artists in country music today. It’s a big boost to this region and we’re proud to host it.”

A listing of hotels offering special discount Bayou Country Superfest rates will be released soon allowing patrons to easily reserve their hotel rooms for the event.  Festivalgoers will be able to peruse room availability and book their accommodations early, taking advantage of the best prices offered at participating hotels.
