Brett Young recently shared the spotlight with his wife and daughters in a sweet moment during his show. The country star shared a glimpse of that moment on Instagram, hailing the girls, “my forever dance partners.”
Young has previously introduced his wife, Taylor Mills Young, and the couple’s two young daughters his audiences while performing “Dance With You.” The country star debuted his heartfelt single in 2023. He wrote it with Jimmy Robbins and Jordan Minton: “Pick out a song, I can hold you to/ Go on, let down your hair/ Baby, kick off your shoes/ They say, ‘Life's a dance/ And if that's the truth/ I only wanna dance with you.”
Young and his wife are parents to Presley Elizabeth Young, who was born in October 2019, and Rowan Marie Young, who arrived in July 2021. Young previously said in a statement via his record label that he “had such a good relationship with my dad – the father/son thing, the sports thing – I always thought that I wanted boys. And I immediately changed my mind when we had Presley.
“And then there was a lot of conversation about, we’ll just keep going until we at least have one of each. But when we had Rowan, it was just confirmation that I was supposed to be a girl dad. I’m in love with it. I don’t feel the need to have a son anymore. I just love the way my relationship is with both of my daughters. It’s different. I mean, it changes you a little bit, but in a lot of good ways. I think I love differently and more deeply than I ever did before, and not just with them, but it opened my capacity to love that way in general with everybody in my life.”
