Kacey Musgraves debuted an unreleased ballad she wrote as a tribute to her dog when she took the stage at a newly-opened venue in Nashville, Tennessee.
Musgraves performed on Thursday evening (February 27) at the sold out opening night for The Pinnacle, a 4,500-capacity venue located within Nashville Yards downtown. Concertgoers shared clips of the Grammy-winning artistâs show, including an unreleased song, on TikTok on Friday (February 28). Musgraves sings about her beloved dog, an Australian cattle dog âso spicyâ sheâs named Pepper, whoâs âblack and white,â âride or die,â and âmore bark than bite.â The ballad is cleverly titled âSheâs My B****.â The crowd laughed and cheered when Musgraves sang the title for the first time.
Throughout the night, Musgraves performed the latest songs from her Deeper Well era in addition to some fan-favorite throwbacks, all while surrounded by dreamy, earthy decor on stage. The Texas-born country starâs set list included âGiver/Taker,â âToo Good to be True,â âNothing to be Scared Of,â âJade Green,â âCardinal,â âDeeper Well,â âSomebody to Love,â âThe Architect,â âeasier said,â âFine,â âSlow Burn,â âSway,â âMerry Go Round,â âRainbow,â âHigh Horseâ and more. The Pinnacleâs team posted photos from Musgravesâ performance on Friday and said: âWe could have not asked for a better artist to grace our stage for our opening night.â
