WAMZ Pet of the Week: Ambrosia

Greetings, traveler! You've stumbled across the sought-after kitten named Ambrosia! True to her name, this six-month-old Shorthair is sweet and magical! She arrived at the Kentucky Humane Society when she ran out of time at an overcrowded shelter. When doing routine blood tests, we discovered that Ambrosia is positive for the Feline Leukemia Virus. (FeLV). Many visitors are taken aback by her diagnosis and refuse to pet her as a result. Don't worry - humans can't catch FeLV! However, because FeLV is contagious to other felines, Ambrosia has to be the only kitty in her new home (or with other FeLV+ cats). Ambrosia is full of love and chirrups for anyone who passes by. She seems to be okay around dogs and children, too. All she's missing is a family! Ambrosia is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on her shots. Meet Ambrosia today at the Hikes Point Feeders Supply, 3079 Breckenridge Lane. For more on Ambrosia or any of our adoptable pets, please call 502-366-3355 or visit kyhumane.org.
