Are Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper Bringing 'A Star Is Born' To Glastonbury?

Word on the street is Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are plotting to stage a Star Is Born reunion at Glastonbury.

The British five-day music festival of contemporary performing arts goes into effect this week, and with it came much speculation about the cast mates — who starred as Ally and Jack in the Oscar-winning film — potentially treating concert-goers with a surprise live performance of songs from the soundtrack.

The gossip started when radio DJ Edith Bowman teased a secret Glastonbury performer on a British television show. “Well, I may know one, but I can’t possibly say,” Bowman said, according to PEOPLE, before recalling Cooper's appearance on her podcast.

Evidently, Bowman said Cooper told her he'd been in talks with fest organizers for a potential show.

“I had Bradley Cooper[on] talking about A Star Is Born. And when I spoke to him, I was like, ‘I just wanna see you guys do a gig, play it live.’ And he was like, ‘Jackson’s dead!’," she recalled. "He said, ‘Well, we have been talking to Nick [Dewey, Glastonbury booker] and Emily about it – we’d do The Park Stage.”

Though before the rumor could run on any further, festival organizer Emily Eavis took to Twitter to debunk the gossip. “Before this one gets out of control… the answer is no, that isn’t happening,” she tweeted Monday (June 24) along with a news article suggesting the reunion would take place at the music celebration. Although, Eavis did confirm attendees could catch the flick at the Pilton Palais Cinema tent this Friday (June 30).

Bowman, in turn, also released an apology for fueling the notion of an Ally-Jack presentation at the show on Twitter as well.

Among the confirmed performers to play Glastonbury, running from June 26-June 30, are The Killers, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, The Cure, and Vampire Weekend. (See the full lineup here.)
