DARIUS RUCKER makes good on a promise!

Darius Rucker has made good on a promise he made to the students of the University of South Carolina last year.

He vowed that he would play a concert for the school if the football team won six games. The Gamecocks finished the season with six wins and seven losses.

On Wednesday, Darius took the stage at the Colonial Life Arena, which was decked out to look like the school's Williams-Brice Stadium. Joining him on stage were players, coaches, cheerleaders and school administrators.

The show was packed even though classes were canceled because of storms.  Darius is a supporter of all the USC sports teams. He was in tears when the basketball team made it into the Final Four. Sadly the team didn't make the finals. He has a street named for him in North Charleston, South Carolina.
