Sources are telling Variety that Tracy Chapman will join Luke Combs to perform her song "Fast Car" at the Grammy Awards Sunday night. If this is indeed true, it will no doubt be the performance of the night!
Tracy's 1988 hit experienced a major resurgence last year as Luke released a new version that became a country chart-topper. Tracy was honored with the Country Music Association Song of the Year Award thanks to the success of Luke's cover. Now the song is up for Best Country Solo Performance at the Grammys, which will air on CBS this Sunday, February 4th at 8 pm
"Fast Car" resonated with audiences 35 years ago when Tracy originally released it and continues to impact music fans today. It just goes to show the power of songwriting. Fingers crossed we get to experience this collaboration on Sunday!
