Looking to adopt the very best boy? You must meet our Peter! Peter is a two-year-old American Bulldog mix who came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. Upon arrival at KHS, we discovered that Peter was completely deaf! Despite not being able to hear, he's a very happy boy who loves people and giving kisses. Peter gets SO excited when people come to meet him and doesn't always show his best manners. Because of this, we enrolled him into our Behavior Modification program where he learned to sit for all things good. Our Behavior team was also able to teach Peter to watch them by offering rewards when Peter looked in our direction. Because Peter is deaf, he needs clear signals to mark the right behavior. We chose to use a thumbs up for Peter and he seemed to catch on very quickly! Peter is a big boy who could easily knock over young children so we recommend he be adopted into a home with kids 8 years and older. Could you be the right one for our favorite boy? Come meet him!
